Ewa Unoke

Ewa Unoke is the founder of the Henry Louis Center for Global Transitional Justice.  He serves as Coordinator of the Political Science program at Kansas City Kansas Community College. Prof. Unoke graduated (Ph.D.) in International Relations from Howard University, Washington D.C., in 2004. Dr. Unoke is a consultant in transitional justice, global peace and security and African studies. As an indigenous Igbo youth, he became a child soldier with the Biafran Organization of Freedom Fighters (BOFF). 


He is currently a member of the Kansas State Advisory Committee, U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and a Member of the Governing Board of two local hospitals. Professor Unoke founded Ntsokara High School in September of 2016 to educate girls in a safe environment, after terrorist kidnappings made it unsafe for them to attend school outside the limits of their local region. Ewa is passionate about transitional justice.  He has contributed many publications in the field.
