G. Wayne Walden

G. Wayne Walden is the Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Henry Louis Center.  He is a retiree after 33 years of service as an associate engineer in the utility of his hometown of Kansas City, Kansas.  His served as a Boy Scout leader for 22 years, as president of his historic neighborhood association, as commissioner and chairman of the city planning and zoning commission for ten years until he moved to Leawood, Kansas, where he was appointed by the mayor to the planning and zoning commission of Leawood.  As a member of a local credit union, Wayne chaired the supervisory committee for three years.  Currently, Wayne is treasurer of the volunteer-run Cooper-Foreman Heirloom and Native Gardens at Kansas City Kansas Community College.
